| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Glenna Faye Seymour Reed of Jacksonville, | 4 | | who passed away on November 27, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Glenna Reed was born on October 7, 1937 in | 6 | | Manchester; her parents were Charles "Henry" and Faye Craddock | 7 | | Seymour; she married Harold Reed, whom she later divorced; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Glenna Reed graduated from Jacksonville High | 9 | | School in 1955; she subsequently attended Brown's Business | 10 | | College and later worked for the State of Illinois; she | 11 | | returned to work after her children were of school age as a | 12 | | baker at MacMurray College's McClelland Dining Hall and in the | 13 | | campus bookstore and mailroom; she also worked as an accountant | 14 | | at Wareco for 10 years and at JCPenney for over 40 years; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Glenna Reed was preceded in death by her daughter, | 16 | | Mindy Reed DeGroot, and her brother, Donald E. (Joyce) | 17 | | Craddock; and | 18 | | WHEREAS, Glenna Reed had life-long friendships with | 19 | | Phyllis Reynolds, Janet Chamberlain, and Evelyn Sherrin; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Glenna Reed is survived by her son, Scott (Lisa) |

| 1 | | Reed; her grandchildren, Matt (Megan) DeGroot, Brad DeGroot, | 2 | | Molly DeGroot (fiance, Tommy Isringhausen), Erin Reed (fiance, | 3 | | Tyler Hollister), and Abby Reed; her great-grandchildren, Jace | 4 | | and Reed DeGroot; and her nephews, Charles "Chip", Brett, and | 5 | | Adam Craddock; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | 8 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Glenna Faye Seymour | 9 | | Reed; and be it further
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Glenna Reed as an expression of our | 12 | | sympathy.
