| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of GeorgeAnne Therese Depke, who passed away | 4 | | on February 17, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, GeorgeAnne Depke was born to George W. and | 6 | | Genevieve (Burns) Hain on July 16, 1938; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, GeorgeAnne Depke enjoyed a successful real | 8 | | estate/broker career for many years and was also a driving | 9 | | force behind her husband's political career, all while managing | 10 | | the family's grocery store, Depke's Market; and | 11 | | WHEREAS, GeorgeAnne Depke served as the Avon Township | 12 | | Clerk, a Lake County Republican Chairwoman, and a two-time | 13 | | delegate to the Republican National Convention; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, GeorgeAnne Depke's enthusiasm for her community | 15 | | included creating a young girls baton group, The Cowgirls, and | 16 | | acting as choreographer for several Warren Township High School | 17 | | stage shows; she was also a mentor and judge for many local | 18 | | talent and beauty pageants; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, GeorgeAnne Depke was preceded in death by her | 20 | | daughter, Cindy (Deming) Depke; her husband of 45 years, Robert |

| 1 | | W. Depke; her sisters, Dolores, Helen, and Bonnie; and her | 2 | | parents; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, GeorgeAnne Depke is survived by her children, | 4 | | Michael and Audrey (Schneider) Hendee, Kellie Hendee, Bowen and | 5 | | Claire (Langford) Depke, Braden and Janet (Oeffling) Depke, | 6 | | Shawn and Lynne (Turchon) Depke, Robert W. Depke II, and Jennie | 7 | | (Steinhabel) Depke; her twin brother, George Hain; 13 | 8 | | grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | GeorgeAnne Therese Depke and extend our sincere condolences to | 12 | | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 13 | | further
