| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William E. "Bill" Young of Naperville, | 4 | | who passed away on June 4, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, William Young was born on May 20, 1935; and | 6 | | WHEREAS, William Young was an Illinois Hall of Fame | 7 | | wrestler, Naperville Central High School dean and wrestling | 8 | | coach, a Naperville Park District Commissioner, Chief of the | 9 | | Naperville Park Police, and acting Executive Director of the | 10 | | Park District; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, William Young will be remembered for his endless | 12 | | contributions to the community and for inspiring Naperville | 13 | | teens and young adults to create a vision for their future, and | 14 | | instilling in them the confidence to be the best that they can | 15 | | be in the classroom, in athletics, and in life; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, William Young is said to have 'Taken down | 17 | | hundreds, and lifted up thousands'; his greatest contribution | 18 | | was his ability to inspire individuals to find their way; he | 19 | | was affectionately know as "Coach Young", "Chief Young", "Wild | 20 | | Bill", and "William-1"; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, William Young was the beloved husband of Martha | 2 | | Ferguson Young; the loving father of Laura, Dan (Kirsten), | 3 | | Barry, and the late Bob; the proud grandfather of Ryan, Allie, | 4 | | Faith, Stefan, Bill, and Jack; the cherished brother of | 5 | | Margaret Masters; and the fond uncle of Libby Gower, Marty | 6 | | Skog, and Dick Masters; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | William E. "Bill" Young, and extend our sincere condolences to | 10 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further
