| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Carol H. (Kendzior) Henkel of Arizona, | 4 | | formerly of Waukegan and Libertyville, who passed away on April | 5 | | 2, 2020; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Carol Henkel graduated from Holy Rosary | 7 | | Elementary School and North Chicago High School in its first | 8 | | year; she married Ronald Henkel; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Carol Henkel owned and operated her own beauty | 10 | | shop for years; she then worked for Prudential Insurance and | 11 | | the IMC Corporation; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Carol Henkel enjoyed gardening, barbershop | 13 | | singing, and sharing her artistic talents with her family and | 14 | | those with whom she worked; she volunteered many hours at the | 15 | | Shrine of St. Maximilian Kolbe at Marytown in Libertyville; she | 16 | | tended all the family graves at Ascension Cemetery in | 17 | | Libertyville; in Arizona, she was a longtime member of All | 18 | | Saints Church in Mesa; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Carol Henkel was preceded in death by her parents, | 20 | | Stanley Kendzior Sr. and Helen Kendzior; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Carol Henkel is survived by her husband of 51 | 2 | | years, Ronald; her son, Stephen; her siblings, Janet Uttech, | 3 | | Betty Prusaitis, Rocky (Sue) Kendzior, Kathy Kendzior, and | 4 | | David Kendzior; and the many who called her aunt or great-aunt; | 5 | | therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Carol H. (Kendzior) Henkel and extend our sincere condolences | 9 | | to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be | 10 | | it further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Carol Henkel as an expression of our | 13 | | deepest sympathy.
