| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Donald M. Peterson of McHenry, who passed | 4 | | away on July 4, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Donald Peterson was born in McHenry on March 21, | 6 | | 1931 to Alvin C. and Agnes (nee Wagner) Peterson; he graduated | 7 | | McHenry High School in 1949, and married Jean Milinac on | 8 | | December 1, 1951 at St. Patrick Church in McHenry; he was a | 9 | | veteran of the United States Army, stationed in France; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Donald Peterson worked for 35 years as a spray | 11 | | technician with the Princess Basket Co. of Algonquin, which | 12 | | later became the Varley Co. of Ridgefield; in 1988, he began | 13 | | working with McHenry Community District 15 as part of the | 14 | | support staff; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Donald Peterson was affiliated with St. Patrick | 16 | | Catholic Church in McHenry; other memberships included Moose | 17 | | Lodge #691, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4600, American Legion | 18 | | Post 491, and the Polish Legion of American Veterans #188; he | 19 | | was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, and enjoyed family | 20 | | outings and softball; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Donald Peterson was preceded in death by his |

| 1 | | parents; his wife, Jean; his 4 brothers, Charles, Melvin, | 2 | | Richard, and Vernon; and his 2 sisters, Vivian and Bernice; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Donald Peterson is survived by 3 children, Linda | 4 | | (the late Thomas Bartel), Donald J. (Gail) Peterson, and Andrew | 5 | | (Teresa) Peterson, and by many nieces and nephews; therefore, | 6 | | be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Donald M. Peterson, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Donald Peterson as an expression of | 14 | | our deepest sympathy.
