| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Kenneth R. "Ken" Zwicke of Beach Park, | 4 | | who passed away on December 12, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ken Zwicke was born in Waukegan on June 18, 1944; | 6 | | he graduated from Waukegan High School in 1962; he earned a | 7 | | bachelor's degree in printing management from Southern | 8 | | Illinois University in 1966; he served in the U.S. Coast Guard; | 9 | | he married Delores Gaddis in 1973, and they raised three | 10 | | children together; after 34 years of marriage, she passed away | 11 | | in 2007; he married Linda Person in 2010; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Ken Zwicke worked at the Government Publishing | 13 | | Office for over 25 years; he retired in 1999; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Ken Zwicke was an active member of Redeemer | 15 | | Lutheran Church in Waukegan, where he served as financial | 16 | | secretary among other responsibilities, and a member of the | 17 | | Lake County Model A Club; he enjoyed golfing, bicycling, | 18 | | bowling, traveling, and working with his hands, whether it was | 19 | | home improvement projects or fully restoring a 1929 Ford Model | 20 | | A; and

| 1 | | wife, Delores Zwicke; and his stepsons, Kevin and Keith Brody; | 2 | | and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Ken Zwicke is survived by his wife, Linda; his | 4 | | children, Michael (Christine) Zwicke, Daniel (Diane) Zwicke, | 5 | | and David Zwicke; his grandchildren, Zachary Zwicke, Isabella | 6 | | Zwicke, Katherine Brody, and Alexis Brody; and his brother, | 7 | | Robert (Elizabeth) Zwicke; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Kenneth R. "Ken" Zwicke and extend our sincere condolences to | 11 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
