| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Donald "Duck" Vest of Harvard, who passed | 4 | | away on June 24, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Donald Vest was born on December 31, 1956 in | 6 | | Harvard; his parents were Gene A. and June M. (nee Collins) | 7 | | Vest; he married Carol Lynn Reuter on October 26, 1991 in | 8 | | Crystal Lake; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Donald Vest was employed at Dean Foods for 26 | 10 | | years and worked as a locksmith since 1991; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Donald Vest was a volunteer fireman in Harvard for | 12 | | 10 years; he was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in | 13 | | Harvard and was a little league baseball coach; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Donald Vest was an avid Chicago Bears fan and | 15 | | enjoyed watching baseball, football, and pro and college | 16 | | basketball; he also enjoyed playing cards, golf, bowling, and | 17 | | spending time with his family; and | 18 | | WHEREAS, Donald Vest was preceded in death by his father; a | 19 | | brother, Mickey Vest; 3 uncles, Bobbie, Eddie, and Dale | 20 | | Collins; his maternal and paternal grandparents; his |
