| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Rickie D. Grashoff of East Peoria, who | 4 | | passed away on June 18, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rickie Grashoff was born on May 29, 1949 in Pekin; | 6 | | his parents were Walter and Elvira (nee Neisman) Grashoff; he | 7 | | married Glenda Sue Bomer on March 13, 2001 in Pekin; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Rickie Grashoff served his country as a member of | 9 | | the United States Navy; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Rickie Grashoff worked for D.J. Mahoney | 11 | | Construction until 1986; he then worked for the Illinois | 12 | | Department of Transportation until 2012, when he retired after | 13 | | 26 years of service; he was working as a Tazewell County | 14 | | Bailiff at the time of his passing; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Rickie Grashoff was a member of the Twin Oaks | 16 | | Missionary Baptist Church in East Peoria, Teamsters Local #623, | 17 | | and the Republican Party, and he was President of the Teamsters | 18 | | Retirement Group; he was named Tazewell County Republican of | 19 | | the Year in 2009; and | 20 | | WHEREAS, Rickie Grashoff was a fan of all sports, but |

| 1 | | especially the St. Louis Cardinals; he also enjoyed playing | 2 | | baseball, softball, golfing, and bowling; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Rickie Grashoff was preceded in death by his | 4 | | parents; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rickie Grashoff is survived by his wife, Glenda; 2 | 6 | | sons, Mike Grashoff and Joshua Grashoff; 2 daughters, Jessica | 7 | | (Curtis) Beiersdorf and Shellie (Jeremy) Benson; 6 | 8 | | grandchildren, Eric and Madison Grashoff, Xander Beiersdorf, | 9 | | and Jeremiah, Luke, and Matthew Benson; a great-granddaughter, | 10 | | Leah Grashoff: 2 brothers, Joe (Mary) Shallenberger and Ronnie | 11 | | (Rita) Grashoff; and a sister, Pat (Jake) Sturm; therefore, be | 12 | | it
| 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 15 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Rickie D. Grashoff; | 16 | | and be it further
| 17 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 18 | | presented to the family of Rickie Grashoff as an expression of | 19 | | our sympathy.
