| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Donald L. "Don" Ague Jr. of Silvis, | 4 | | who passed away on November 14, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Don Ague was born in Geneseo to Donald and | 6 | | Virginia (Graehling) Ague on February 20, 1944; he attended | 7 | | Riverdale High School in Port Byron; he served in the U.S. Navy | 8 | | aboard the USS Constellation from 1963 to 1967; he married | 9 | | Bonnie Day in Moline on October 8, 1977; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Don Ague spent his career as a tool and die maker | 11 | | at Swan Engineering; he retired in 2009 as a tool room manager; | 12 | | and | 13 | | WHEREAS, Don Ague volunteered much of his time for Habitat | 14 | | for Humanity Restore; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Don Ague was a member of The Gathering in Moline, | 16 | | the Silvis Garden Club, and the Vietnam Veterans of America | 17 | | Chapter #669; he was an avid gardener and a talented | 18 | | woodworker and crafted lovely furniture for his home and gifts | 19 | | for family and friends; he was a kind, loving, generous man and | 20 | | will be missed by all who knew him; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Don Ague was preceded in death by his parents; | 2 | | his brothers, Dale and LeRoy Ague; and his sisters, Sharlyne | 3 | | Fuller and Pam Barnett; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Don Ague is survived by his wife of 45 years, | 5 | | Bonnie; his daughters, Wendy Teague and Crissy (Tim) Terry; | 6 | | eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his brother, | 7 | | Emery (Deb) Ague; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, | 8 | | be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Donald L. "Don" Ague Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to | 12 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 13 | | further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Don Ague as an expression of our | 16 | | deepest sympathy.
