| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of James A. "Jim" Novalinski Jr. of | 4 | | Carpentersville, who passed away on January 21, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jim Novalinski was born in Chicago to James Sr. | 6 | | and Sophie Novalinski; he married Marie Gates on June 4, 1960; | 7 | | and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Jim Novalinski was an active parishioner at St. | 9 | | Monica Catholic Church, where he was a Eucharistic minister and | 10 | | an usher; he flipped pancakes for the Holy Name Society at the | 11 | | Parish breakfasts and grilled with them at the annual St. | 12 | | Monica Fests; he wrapped presents for the Toys for Tots | 13 | | celebration and helped with the Annual St. Patrick's Dance; he | 14 | | also worked BINGO for years, where he made countless friends; | 15 | | and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Jim Novalinski was a Scout Leader and Assistant | 17 | | Scout Master for Cub Pack 80; he loved attending family events, | 18 | | baseball games, plays, concerts, graduations, pageants, | 19 | | farmer's markets, and going out to breakfast; for the past nine | 20 | | years, he looked forward to Friday Night Gigs where they shared | 21 | | a meal and played cards together as a family; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Jim Novalinski was preceded in death by his | 2 | | parents; his daughter, Deborah; and many siblings; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Jim Novalinski is survived by his wife, Marie; his | 4 | | sons, James A. III (Paulette) Novalinski, David J. (Julie) | 5 | | Novalinski, and Daniel S. (Amy) Novalinski; and his | 6 | | grandchildren, Ashley (Ehren), George, David Jr., Tanner, | 7 | | Isabella, and Mason; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | James A.
