| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Patrick "Pat" Eugene Hicks of Moline, | 4 | | who passed away on November 30, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Pat Hicks was born to Geoff and Sharon (Huffman) | 6 | | Hicks in DeKalb on March 18, 1970; he graduated from Moline | 7 | | High School in 1988; he served in the U.S. Army during the Gulf | 8 | | War and earned a number of medals, including the Southwest | 9 | | Asia Service Medal with three bronze stars; he married | 10 | | Jennifer Hitch in Hinsdale on March 23, 2002; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Patrick Hicks worked at John Deere Harvester, | 12 | | where he was most recently a fork truck operator; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Pat Hicks was a member of the Porsche Club of | 14 | | America as well as several other car and gaming groups; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Pat Hicks enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going to | 16 | | the shooting range; he loved gaming and had many gaming | 17 | | friends from around the country; he particularly enjoyed cars | 18 | | and coffee, but the most important thing to him was family; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Pat is survived by his wife; his daughter, Abby; | 20 | | his parents; his brother, Andrew Hicks; his in-laws, James and |

| 1 | | Janice Hitch; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jeanene | 2 | | and Mark Letcher, James and Kelly Hitch, and Jorie and Jared | 3 | | Edwards; and his nieces and nephews, Rebekah, Christopher, and | 4 | | Jonathan Letcher, Colin and Finn Hitch, and Jorja, Jada, and | 5 | | Jaymesyn Edwards; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| 8 | | Patrick "Pat" Eugene Hicks and extend our sincere
condolences | 9 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be | 10 | | it further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
