| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Glenn W. Sportsman of Elgin, who passed | 4 | | away on January 18, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Glenn Sportsman was born in Rothville, Missouri to | 6 | | Ernest and Ella Vaughn Sportsman on August 2, 1925; he | 7 | | graduated from Elgin High School and served in the United | 8 | | States Army Air Corp during World War II; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Glenn Sportsman was a businessman in Elgin; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Glenn Sportsman was an avid fan of high school | 11 | | basketball; he was an outdoorsman most of his life and enjoyed | 12 | | playing golf; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Glenn Sportsman was preceded in death by his | 14 | | parents; his wife, Shirley; his son, Craig; his grandson, T.J.; | 15 | | and his brother, Clyde Sportsman; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Glenn Sportsman is survived by his children, Linda | 17 | | Benedick, Robin (Ezell) Simon, and Terry (Crystal) Sportsman; | 18 | | his grandchildren, Tia (Dan) Palmiter, Tonsen Sportsman, | 19 | | Carissa Dixon, Adam Simon, Devin Simon, and Corey (Allison) | 20 | | Massa; 10 great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Bert |
