| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of George E. Blue of Mount Pulaski, who | 4 | | passed away on August 9, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, George Blue was born to George R. and Blanche | 6 | | (Dodwell) Blue in Decatur on April 12, 1947; he served in the | 7 | | United States Navy from 1966 to 1969; he married Linda Rose | 8 | | Fournier on June 12, 1971; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, George Blue was the owner and operator of George's | 10 | | Foods in Mount Pulaski, a branch manager for ABF Freight, a bus | 11 | | driver for the Mount Pulaski School District, and a part-time | 12 | | employee at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, George Blue was a Mason with the Mount Pulaski | 14 | | Masonic Lodge, a member of the Shriners, and a member of Mount | 15 | | Pulaski American Legion Post #447; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, George Blue was also a lifelong Saint Louis | 17 | | Cardinals and Duke Basketball fan; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, George Blue was preceded in death by his parents; | 19 | | and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, George Blue is survived by his wife; his children, | 2 | | Terry (Raquel) Blue, and Casie Wyler; his two sisters, Nicki | 3 | | (Dave) Yemm, and Linda K (Rich) Osborn; and his three | 4 | | grandchildren, Sabrina, Brooke, and Caden; therefore, be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| 7 | | George Blue and extend our sincere
condolences to his family, | 8 | | friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it further
| 9 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
| 10 | | presented to the family of George Blue as an expression of
our | 11 | | deepest sympathy.
