| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
Jack L. | 4 | | Record of Mattoon, who passed away on June 20, 2010; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jack Record was born on June 1, 1930; he was the | 6 | | son of Charles and Nora Blanche (Morris) Record; he married | 7 | | Joan Welsh on October 3, 1953; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Jack Record graduated from Mattoon High School in | 9 | | 1949; he served his country with pride and distinction as a | 10 | | member of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean | 11 | | Conflict; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Jack Record was self-employed as the | 13 | | owner-operator of the Dairy Queen in Charleston, Illinois; he | 14 | | was later employed by the Veterans Administration and the | 15 | | Illinois Department of Transportation until his retirement in | 16 | | 2000; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Jack Record was a member of the Immaculate | 18 | | Conception Roman Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the | 19 | | American Legion, the VFW, the Mattoon Letterman's Club, and the | 20 | | Mattoon High School Hall of Fame; he served on the Coles County | 21 | | Board, the Embarras River Basin Agency, and the Coles County |

| 1 | | Housing Authority; he was also a 2-term Mattoon City | 2 | | Commissioner; and | 3 | | WHEREAS, Jack Record was preceded in death by his parents, | 4 | | his 2 sisters, and his 3 brothers; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jack Record is survived by his wife; his children, | 6 | | Sally Eck and her husband, Todd, and their children, Amanda and | 7 | | Dustin (Lindsey); Susan and her friend, Paul Comforti; Sheila; | 8 | | Shady Raboin and her husband, Jeff, and their son, Jack; and | 9 | | Rush and his wife, Stephanie, and their children, Kennedy and | 10 | | Delaney; he is also survived by his 3 step-grandchildren and | 11 | | his several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 13 | | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 14 | | mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Jack | 15 | | L. Record; and be it further
