| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Karen E. (Spitzbart) Young of McHenry, | 4 | | who passed away on January 19, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Karen Young was born in Waukegan to Lloyd and | 6 | | Grace (Glosson) Spitzbart on January 5, 1956; she married James | 7 | | B. Young at Chapel on the Hill in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin on | 8 | | March 25, 1989; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, She worked as an assembler at Intermatic in Spring | 10 | | Grove for 35 years; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Karen Young was a member of St. Peter Catholic | 12 | | Church in Spring Grove; she found great enjoyment in cooking, | 13 | | baking, decorating cakes, and feeding her family and guests; | 14 | | she was a devoted wife and mother and often went out of her way | 15 | | to help others; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Karen Young was preceded in death by her parents; | 17 | | and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Karen Young is survived by her husband of 28 | 19 | | years, James; her sons, William Young and Todd Young; her | 20 | | granddaughter, Alaya; her sisters, Judy (Ed) Boyer and Debbie |
