| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William D. "Bill" Pence of Bloomington, | 4 | | who passed away on September 3, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bill Pence was born to William and Hattie Tomschin | 6 | | Pence in Chicago on November 1, 1935; he graduated from | 7 | | Illinois State University in 1969; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Bill Pence worked for Growmark, Inc.; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Bill Pence enjoyed traveling, including a special | 10 | | trip to Rome and multiple trips to Hawaii; he loved to play | 11 | | golf and his golf buddies, reading, politics, his church, and | 12 | | Chicago sports; he enjoyed checking things off of his to do | 13 | | lists, collecting Canadian geese memorabilia, and doing the | 14 | | daily crossword puzzle; most of all, he loved his family and | 15 | | friends; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Bill Pence was preceded in death by his first | 17 | | wife, Rose; his parents; his sisters, Dorothy (Don) Janousek | 18 | | and Beverly (Leroy "Bud") Sturtevant; and his sister-in-law, | 19 | | Mary Kelly; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Bill Pence is survived by his wife, Patricia; his |

| 1 | | daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Sandage; his sons, Mike (Julie) Pence and | 2 | | Bill (Tammy) Pence; his grandchildren, Jenna (Niles) Sager, | 3 | | Brooke Bailey, and Jorri Sandage; his great-grandchildren, | 4 | | Darla and Conrad Sager; his sisters, Linda (Brian) Carrara and | 5 | | Cynthia (Brian) McGurk; his stepchildren, Vince, Steve | 6 | | (Virginia),David Moore, and Julia (Marcos) Mendez; his | 7 | | grandchildren, Sam, Ryan, Emily, Adrian, Zeke, and Ezra; his | 8 | | sister-in-law, Nancy Brady; and his extended family in the | 9 | | Chicago area; therefore, be it
