| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Rosemary T. Azzaro of Sun City, Arizona, | 4 | | who passed away on June 11, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Azzaro was born in Woodstock on May 11, | 6 | | 1924 to Raymond and Mary A. (nee Murray) Donovan; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Azzaro's public service career covered a | 8 | | span of 48 years, during which she worked in the McHenry County | 9 | | Government Center, where she was well respected for her | 10 | | diligence; she started as a clerk in the McHenry County Clerk's | 11 | | Office and was later selected to be Deputy County Clerk for 18 | 12 | | years; in 1978, she was elected McHenry County Clerk, an office | 13 | | she held until her retirement in 1990; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Azzaro was an avid golfer; she and her | 15 | | husband, Tony, who she first met at a golf course, shared many | 16 | | years golfing at the Woodstock Country Club and courses | 17 | | throughout the greater Chicago area, Wisconsin, and Arizona; | 18 | | she was a member of the Lady Lynx Golf League, where she shot | 19 | | her second "hole-in-one", and she played until the age of 88; | 20 | | and

| 1 | | husband of almost 45 years, Anthony Azzaro; step-children, Mary | 2 | | Ellen (Thomas) Parker, Joseph Azzaro, and Barbara (William) | 3 | | Wallace; her parents; 2 sisters, Evangeline Svejcar and Eleanor | 4 | | (Sr. Paula, CSC) Donovan; and her brother, Harold Donovan; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Azzaro is survived by her sister, Rita | 6 | | Donovan; step-son, Anthony Azzaro, Jr. (Jerry); many | 7 | | grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and 10 nieces and | 8 | | nephews; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Rosemary T. Azzaro, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 13 | | further
