| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Ralph E. "Pete" Clark of East Moline, who | 4 | | passed away on September 8, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ralph Clark was born in Waukee, Iowa to Robert Sr. | 6 | | and Ruth (Keyes) Clark on December 15, 1943; he graduated from | 7 | | UT High School in 1963; he was drafted into the U.S. Army in | 8 | | 1965, and he served in the 7th Evacuation Hospital in | 9 | | Darmstadt, Germany; he was honorably discharged in 1967; he | 10 | | married Jo Marckese in Moline on September 10, 1971; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Ralph Clark worked as a machine operator at John | 12 | | Deere Harvester Works for over 30 years until he retired in | 13 | | 2004; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Ralph Clark was an aviation enthusiast, and he | 15 | | earned his private pilot's license, twin engine and instrument | 16 | | certifications, and his instructor's license; he also enjoyed | 17 | | hunting, fishing, amateur archeology, and family genealogy; he | 18 | | was a loving husband and father who deeply enjoyed having the | 19 | | family all at home; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Ralph Clark was preceded in death by his parents | 21 | | and three brothers; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Ralph Clark is survived by his wife; his | 2 | | daughters, Stephanie Clark and Sarah Clark; his brothers, Dean | 3 | | Clark, Bill (Ellie) Clark, and Tommy Clark; his special | 4 | | friends, Alan VerBeke and cousin Larry Glasford; and his | 5 | | several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Ralph E. "Pete" Clark and extend our sincere condolences to his | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Ralph Clark as an expression of our | 13 | | deepest sympathy.
