| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Margaret Mary "Marge" (nee McDermott) | 4 | | Walsh, who passed away on January 16, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mary Walsh was born in Chicago on September 17, | 6 | | 1955; she graduated from DePaul University; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Mary Walsh worked for Catholic Charities, The | 8 | | Society of St. Vincent DePaul, the Portage Park Chamber of | 9 | | Commerce, the United States Army National Guard Bureau Family | 10 | | Program, Life Fitness, and Oakton Community College during her | 11 | | 40-year professional career, while raising 5 children and being | 12 | | a grandmother to 10; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Mary Walsh was the founder of the Fellowship of | 14 | | Hope, a gynecological cancer awareness organization associated | 15 | | with Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge; she is | 16 | | the recipient of the United States Army Patriotic Civilian | 17 | | Service Award and received a Department of Defense Certificate | 18 | | of Appreciation for her service to the families of the 933rd | 19 | | Military Police Company serving in Iraq; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Mary Walsh was the beloved wife for over 38 years | 21 | | to Dr. Donald W. Walsh (Retired C.F.D. Chief); the loving |
