| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jimmie Wayne Fairbanks of Bloomington, | 4 | | who passed away on April 1, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jimmie Fairbanks was born to Thomas and Dora | 6 | | Williams Fairbanks in Ottawa on October 19, 1930; he married | 7 | | Sally Benjamin; after her death, he later married Evelyn Alwes; | 8 | | he was a Korean war veteran who served in the U.S. Army from | 9 | | 1951 to 1953; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, For nearly 40 years, Jimmie Fairbanks was a | 11 | | self-employed painter who owned and operated the Fairbanks | 12 | | Painting Company in Bloomington; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Jimmie Fairbanks was a member of Our Redeemer | 14 | | Lutheran Church, the Bloomington VFW, and the Lakeside Country | 15 | | Club; he was an Exalted Ruler in the Elks Lodge; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Jimmie Fairbanks enjoyed golfing and was an avid | 17 | | Cardinals baseball fan; he was a loving father, great brother, | 18 | | and friend; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Jimmie Fairbanks was preceded in death by his | 20 | | parents; his first wife, Sally; his second wife, Evelyn; his |

| 1 | | brother, Steve; and his sister, Mary Anne; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Jimmie Fairbanks is survived by his three | 3 | | children, Daniel (Patricia Hesch) Fairbanks, David Fairbanks, | 4 | | and Jami (Marvin) Rexroat; his three grandchildren, David | 5 | | Fairbanks, Natalie (Nathan) Vargas, and John Vargas; and his | 6 | | sister, Ellen (Steve) Klotz; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| 9 | | Jimmie Wayne Fairbanks and extend our sincere
condolences to | 10 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it | 11 | | further
