| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Barbara Ann Evans of South Roxana, who | 4 | | passed away on January 29, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Evans was born in Harrisburg to Glenn Reed | 6 | | and Faye (Johnson) Ward on July 15, 1940; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Evans retired in 2001 from the Olin | 8 | | Corporation in East Alton after over 20 years of dedicated | 9 | | service in quality assurance; after her retirement, she worked | 10 | | at the South Roxana Water Department; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Evans was a former member of the First | 12 | | General Baptist Church in Meadowbrook; she enjoyed | 13 | | volunteering with the South Roxana Women's Auxiliary and | 14 | | serving as a Madison County Election Judge; she had a special | 15 | | love for cats, collecting dolls, Sunday lunches with her | 16 | | friends, taking walks, listening to gospel music, watching | 17 | | baseball, and caring for the elderly; she was a friend to | 18 | | everyone, cherished her children and grandchildren, loved her | 19 | | neighborhood, and always looked forward to the Johnson Family | 20 | | Reunions; and | 21 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Evans was preceded in death by her |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Barbara Evans is survived by her children, Deborah | 3 | | McCrary, Larry Evans (Linda Griffin), and Lisa (Mark) Hannah; | 4 | | her grandchildren, Brandon McCrary, Lauren Steinkoetter, | 5 | | Alissa Steinkoetter, Jacob Steinkoetter, and Jonathan | 6 | | Steinkoetter; her brother, Charles (Kay) Reed; and other | 7 | | extended family and many friends; therefore, be it
