| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Marvin Wayne Saville of Alton, who passed | 4 | | away on October 9, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Marvin Saville was born in Alton on December 23, | 6 | | 1945 to Harold and Glenn (nee Treadway) Saville; he married | 7 | | Ellen Hayes on July 3, 1965; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Marvin Saville retired in 2012 from Joseph E. | 9 | | Meyer & Associates in Edwardsville; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Marvin Saville was a member of St. Mary's Catholic | 11 | | Church in Alton; he played the organ at many area Catholic | 12 | | churches and community events; he enjoyed singing in the | 13 | | Riverbend Community Gospel Choir, and every Wednesday, he was | 14 | | part of a group that entertained others in the local nursing | 15 | | homes; he was on the board of directors at Alton Day Care and | 16 | | Learning Center; he was a past member of the Alton-Godfrey | 17 | | Jaycees, and he and his wife were team captains for the World | 18 | | Wide Marriage Encounter for the Diocese of Springfield in | 19 | | Illinois; he was active with his grandchildren and found time | 20 | | to attend all of their activities; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Marvin Saville was preceded in death by his |

| 1 | | parents and a brother, Norman; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Marvin Saville is survived by his wife, Ellen; 3 | 3 | | daughters and a son-in-law, Kathy Williamson, Amy and Bryan | 4 | | Stewart, and Rachel Watson; a sister, Lorna Duffrin; a | 5 | | sister-in-law, Laurita Saville; 10 grandchildren, James, | 6 | | Nicole, Valerie, Daemon, Joseph, Jakob, Dayton, Isaac, Skylar, | 7 | | and Christa; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, | 8 | | and friends; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Marvin Wayne Saville, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 13 | | further
