| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of James "Jim" Berkley Meyer, who passed | 4 | | away on July 1, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jim Meyer was born to Berkley "Whitey" and Leona | 6 | | M. (Saxton) Meyer in Alton on February 22, 1953; he married | 7 | | Sandra Harvey in East Alton on March 21, 1975; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Jim Meyer was a jeweler who owned and operated | 9 | | Meyer Jewelry in Wood River for many years; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Jim Meyer was preceded in death by his parents and | 11 | | his daughter, Angel Meyer; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Jim Meyers is survived by his wife; his two | 13 | | daughters, Kellie (Nathan) Karlas and Kristen (Jeremy Morris) | 14 | | Meyer; his six grandchildren, Brady and Emma Karlas, Lula and | 15 | | Leo Gowin, and Makaylyn and Henley Morris; his sister, Martha | 16 | | (Bill) Campbell; his brothers-in-law, Harry (Betty Jo) Harvey | 17 | | Sr., Charles (Debra Schultz) Harvey Jr., and Alvin (Janet) | 18 | | Harvey Sr.; and his special niece, Carrie Campbell; therefore, | 19 | | be it
