| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Thomas P. Bell of Oak Park, who passed | 4 | | away on August 6, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Tom Bell was born on May 11, 1963 in North Kansas | 6 | | City, Missouri; he grew up in Liberty, Missouri, where he | 7 | | graduated from Liberty High School; he received his bachelor's | 8 | | degree from the Kansas City Art Institute and subsequently | 9 | | moved to Chicago to work in advertising; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, After 15 years working at a variety of companies, | 11 | | including Enesco, the Mobium Creative Group, and Publicis/Hal | 12 | | Riney, he went back to school and received his Masters in | 13 | | Education from National Lewis University in 2008; he went on to | 14 | | teach art at St. Giles School in Oak Park for 6 years; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Tom Bell is survived by his wife of 18 years, | 16 | | Kelly Twohig, and their 12-year-old twin sons, Sean and Seamus; | 17 | | his parents, Dwayne and Carol; his sister Jane Poe, and | 18 | | brothers, Mike (Julie) and Brandon (Melanie); he was the | 19 | | cherished son-in-law of Pat and Gloria Twohig; beloved | 20 | | brother-in-law of Brian (Ellen), Pat, Tim (Beth), Erin (Brian) | 21 | | Obert, and Kate Twohig (Adam Ochsenschlager); the devoted uncle | 22 | | to Laura Poe, Jordan, Tyler, Leah, Reese and Brooklyn Bell, |
