| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Duey Jordan Skinner of Jerseyville, who | 4 | | passed away on March 26, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Duey Skinner was born in Alton to Duey Duane and | 6 | | Kimberly Charmaine (Dunham) Skinner on September 19, 1988; he | 7 | | attended Jerseyville schools and graduated from Jersey | 8 | | Community High School in 2007; he furthered his education at | 9 | | Lewis & Clark Community College and earned his Bachelor of | 10 | | Science in Criminal Justice from Missouri Baptist University; | 11 | | he graduated with high honors at both institutions; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Duey Skinner completed an internship with the | 13 | | Jersey County Sheriff's Department, where he was a dispatcher | 14 | | for them and the 9-1-1 system; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Duey Skinner faced obstacles with determination | 16 | | and a heartwarming smile; he addressed adversity with an | 17 | | abundant appreciation for life, and he was designated Jersey | 18 | | County's Ambassador of Inspiration; he served as a role model | 19 | | for many; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Duey Skinner was preceded in death by his | 21 | | grandfather, James Dunham; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Duey Skinner is survived by his parents; his | 2 | | brother and best friend, Colten James Skinner; his | 3 | | grandparents, Alice (Bock) Dunham and Duey Lee and Peggy Joann | 4 | | (Brooks) Skinner; his aunts and uncles, Dawn Dunham, Jimmy and | 5 | | Michelle Dunham, Kim and Jeff Tepen, and Brenda McCreary; his | 6 | | cousins and their spouses, Owen Dunham and Eli Dunham, Brad and | 7 | | Nicole Hagen, Steve and Tara Beauchamp, Katelyn McCreary, Megan | 8 | | McCreary, and Danah McCreary; and his many loving and caring | 9 | | friends; therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Duey Jordan Skinner and extend our sincere condolences to his | 13 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 14 | | further
