| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Russell Leroy Nelson of East Moline, who | 4 | | passed away on February 6, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Russell Nelson was born in Colchester to James R. | 6 | | and Myrtle M. Reed Nelson on December 27, 1923; he served in | 7 | | the United States Navy during World War II and fought in the | 8 | | Battle of Midway; he married Lilla Agnes McAdams on May 10, | 9 | | 1942; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Russell Nelson was a past Vice-President of Moline | 11 | | Consumers; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Russell Nelson was the past President of the Rock | 13 | | Island Conservation Club in Milan; he enjoyed scuba diving, | 14 | | fishing, and boating in the Florida Keys, and hunting in | 15 | | Wyoming; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Russell Nelson was preceded in death by his wife, | 17 | | Lilla; his parents; and his brothers, Jim and Lowell Nelson; | 18 | | and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Russell Nelson is survived by his son, Russ | 20 | | (Kathy) Nelson; his grandchildren, John (Jolynn) Nelson, Yancy |
