| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Annie S. Holsten of Crystal Lake, who | 4 | | passed away on May 6, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Annie Holsten was born in McHenry to Nikolaus and | 6 | | Anna (Klintworth) Tietjen on July 1, 1929; she graduated from | 7 | | Crystal Lake Community High School and married John Holsten on | 8 | | October 23, 1948; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Annie Holsten worked for many years as a | 10 | | bookkeeper for the Bauer Oil Company in Crystal Lake; she also | 11 | | kept books for her husband's service station and automotive | 12 | | businesses; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Annie Holsten had a passion for gardening and | 14 | | always enjoyed working in her yard; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Annie Holsten was preceded in death by her | 16 | | husband, John, and her infant daughter, Carol; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Annie Holsten is survived by her daughter, Shirley | 18 | | (Don) Freese; her son, Jim (JoAnn) Holsten; her grandchildren, | 19 | | Rebecca (Larry) Nakamura, Rachel (Mike) Nicholson, Jessica | 20 | | (Derek) Loverich, and Leah and Tori Holsten; and her |
