| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Dolores Shirley Sellers Williams; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Dolores Williams was born in Chicago to Iona | 5 | | Morgan Sellers Brunson and Tommy Sellers on April
1, 1930; she | 6 | | grew up on the West Side of Chicago and attended
Grant Tennyson | 7 | | Elementary School and Lucy Flowers High School; she was a | 8 | | member of St. Stephens AME
Church and married Richard Williams | 9 | | Sr. on October 31,
1950; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Dolores Williams worked as a parent community | 11 | | representative for the local school system for
over 25 years; | 12 | | and | 13 | | WHEREAS, Dolores Williams was affectionately known as | 14 | | "Doe" and enjoyed telling jokes to her family and friends; she | 15 | | fostered many children in the
neighborhood with meals, trips to | 16 | | her country home in
Cassopolis, and with the sharing of wise | 17 | | words; she had a passion for nature and gardening, and loved | 18 | | planting flowers, fruits,
and vegetables; she enjoyed fishing | 19 | | trips with her aunt,
Juanita, and spending time with her | 20 | | grandchildren; she attended every birthday, graduation, | 21 | | ceremony, and
celebration; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Dolores Williams and Richard enjoyed taking | 2 | | family trips to places such as San
Diego, Lake Ivanhoe in | 3 | | Wisconsin, and Cassopolis, Michigan; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Dolores Williams was preceded in death by her | 5 | | husband of 66 years, Richard; her father, Tommy Sellers; her | 6 | | mother, Iona Morgan Sellers Brunson; her
siblings, Carlos, | 7 | | Donald, Barbara, Arlene, and Pierre; her daughter, Deborah
| 8 | | Jackson; and her granddaughter, Dianna Jackson; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Dolores Williams is survived by her sister, | 10 | | Jeanette Rawls; her aunt,
Juanita Kato; her sister-in-law, | 11 | | Minnie Brown; her daughter, Sheila Dorns; her sons, Tyrone
| 12 | | (Janice), Richard Jr., Kevin (Victoria), Keith
(Pamela), and | 13 | | Vincent (Suzanne) Williams; her grandchildren, Nolentha
(Eric) | 14 | | Nichols, Ru-Grandi (Anitri) Dorns, Jareal, Sheverta, Deonna, | 15 | | Bobby,
Draper, Jarmoyne (Michael) Brandon, Dominique Duncan, | 16 | | Delores "Mariah",
Keith II, Guy, Robin, Richard J. (Yolanda), | 17 | | Jeremy, Lauren, Lorina
