| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Ronald D. Bullock, who passed away at the | 4 | | age of 73; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Bullock began his career with the Bison | 6 | | Gear and Engineering Corporation in 1981, serving in research | 7 | | and development, engineering, marketing, operations, and | 8 | | general management roles before acquiring Bison in 1987; as | 9 | | owner of Bison, he led the company through unprecedented growth | 10 | | while simultaneously expanding the company's product line and | 11 | | distribution channels and introducing the company into the | 12 | | European market; he also championed Bison's customer-focused | 13 | | approach while driving a culture of continuous improvement; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Bullock was a dedicated proponent for | 15 | | American manufacturing; he recently completed a two-year term | 16 | | as Chairman of the Manufacturing Institute, a think tank | 17 | | affiliated with the National Association of Manufacturers, for | 18 | | which he also served on the board of directors; he also served | 19 | | as Chairman of the Illinois Manufacturing Association and the | 20 | | IMA Education Foundation, and was a founder of the Illinois | 21 | | P-20 Council; and
| 22 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Bullock concentrated on the importance of |

| 1 | | continuing education and community outreach; BisonCares, a | 2 | | charity organization operated through Bison, recently | 3 | | celebrated its 10-year anniversary of providing services and | 4 | | support to local charities; he also funded several scholarship | 5 | | programs through the IMA Education Foundation and offered | 6 | | financial support to children of Bison associates attending | 7 | | college through the Bullock Family Scholarship; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Bullock is survived by his daughter, Laurel | 9 | | Novak; his daughter-in-law, Kelly Burch; his brother-in-law, | 10 | | John Stewart; seven grandchildren; and his many friends and | 11 | | family at Bison; therefore, be it
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 14 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Ronald D. Bullock; and | 15 | | be it further
| 16 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 17 | | presented to the family of Ronald Bullock as an expression of | 18 | | our sympathy.
