| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Kenneth E. Daxon of Bettendorf, Iowa, who | 4 | | passed away on June 5, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Daxon was born in Moline to Joseph and | 6 | | Jeannette Johnson Daxon on August 13, 1934; he graduated from | 7 | | Alleman High School in 1953 and married Mary Lou Caby in | 8 | | Springfield on December 15, 1956; he served in the United | 9 | | States Army; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Daxon worked at the Rock Island Arsenal, | 11 | | doing design and graphics work; he retired in 1989 after 32 | 12 | | years of government service; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Daxon was an avid sports fan and enjoyed | 14 | | watching the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and the Iowa | 15 | | Hawkeyes; he also enjoyed fishing; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Daxon was preceded in death by his father, | 17 | | Joseph Daxon; his mother and stepfather, Jeannette and Sam Fox; | 18 | | his brothers, Tom, Ron, and Bob Daxon; and his son-in-law, Bob | 19 | | Techau; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Daxon is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; |

| 1 | | his sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Susan Daxon, and Steven | 2 | | and Julie Daxon; his daughter, Vicki Techau; 10 grandchildren; | 3 | | 12 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Marilyn Oliver and Carol | 4 | | Elliott; and many other loving family members and friends; | 5 | | therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Kenneth E. Daxon, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Kenneth Daxon as an expression of | 13 | | our deepest sympathy.
