| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Karen Jean Weir of Wonder Lake, who | 4 | | passed away on July 23, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Karen Weir was born in Lake Forest on October 6, | 6 | | 1976 to Arnold "Lynn" and Sandra (Kleckner) Anderson; she | 7 | | graduated from Antioch Community High School and earned her | 8 | | bachelor's degree from Marquette University; she graduated in | 9 | | 2001 with her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of | 10 | | Iowa; she married Todd Weir in Lake Geneva on October 20, 2006; | 11 | | and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Karen Weir joined Jewel-Osco as a pharmacist; she | 13 | | achieved the position of manager at the Fox Lake location for | 14 | | her entire career; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Karen Weir loved the outdoors; she enjoyed | 16 | | snowmobiling in Wisconsin and boating on Wonder Lake and other | 17 | | Illinois waterways; she could always be found four-wheeling | 18 | | with her husband; she was a devoted wife, caring sister, loving | 19 | | aunt, and thoughtful friend; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Karen Weir was preceded in death by her father; | 21 | | and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Karen Weir is survived by her husband; her mother, | 2 | | Sandra (Kleckner) Anderson; her in-laws, Steven and Susan Weir; | 3 | | her brother, Eric (Jennifer) Anderson; her brother-in-law, | 4 | | Nick (Melissa) Weir; her nieces, Samantha and Lillian; her | 5 | | nephews, Benjamin and Caleb; and her maternal | 6 | | grandfather-in-law, Richard Singer; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Karen Jean Weir, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 11 | | further
