| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Helen Deal of Waukegan, who passed away | 4 | | on August 25, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Helen Deal was born on November 13, 1935 in | 6 | | Ortonville, Minnesota and raised in Big Stone City, South | 7 | | Dakota; she married Stuart Deal on March 2, 1957; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Helen Deal was valedictorian of the class of 1953 | 9 | | of Big Stone City High School; she and her husband lived their | 10 | | entire married life in the Waukegan/Beach Park area of | 11 | | Illinois, where they raised five children; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, During their 59-year marriage, Helen Deal was | 13 | | office manager of their paving business; they later ran several | 14 | | pizza stores and began collecting and selling farm toys, making | 15 | | their "third career" as long-time veterans of the National Farm | 16 | | Toy show in Dyersville, Iowa, as well as many other shows; she | 17 | | enjoyed the toy shows and the many friends they made; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Helen Deal was preceded in death by her son, | 19 | | Craig; her brother, Robert Hublou; and her sister, Jean Cloos; | 20 | | and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Helen Deal is survived by her husband, Stuart; her | 2 | | sons, Mark, Douglas (Shelley), and Barry; her daughter, | 3 | | Michelle Wilson (Steven); her grandchildren, Christiana, | 4 | | Kevin, Nicole, and Keith; her step-grandchildren, Matt and | 5 | | Casey; and her great-grandchildren, Payton and Tucker; | 6 | | therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | 9 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Helen Deal; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Helen Deal as an expression of our | 13 | | sympathy.
