| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Andrew "Andy" Grom of Libertyville, who | 4 | | passed away on October 25, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Andy Grom was born in Waukegan to Philip and Rose | 6 | | Grom on December 30, 1959; he graduated from Waukegan West High | 7 | | School in 1978 and the University of Kansas; he lived for 29 | 8 | | years in Winthrop Harbor; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Andy Grom was a former employee of Abbott | 10 | | Laboratories and spent many years consulting in the | 11 | | pharmaceutical industry; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Andy Grom enjoyed golf; he was an Evans Scholar | 13 | | and a member of the K.S.K.J. Slovenian organization; he was an | 14 | | avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and the Chicago | 15 | | Blackhawks; his favorite places were the golf course and the | 16 | | white sand beaches of Florida; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Andy Grom was preceded in death by his parents; | 18 | | his brother, Timothy; his father-in-law, Michael E. Mintern; | 19 | | and his brother-in-law, Michael S. Mintern; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Andy Grom is survived by his wife of 32 years, |
