| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Duane Russell Bradley; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Duane Bradley worked for both Argonne National | 5 | | Laboratory and
the International Atomic Energy Agency for | 6 | | nearly 30
years, including six years spent in Vienna, Austria; | 7 | | and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Duane Bradley was an officer with the
Lemont | 9 | | Emergency Management Agency for over nine years,
where he | 10 | | helped with major local events and emergency
response to | 11 | | accidents, fires, severe weather, and other
incidents; and | 12 | | WHEREAS, Duane Bradley was a longtime committeeman in the | 13 | | local
Republican organization; he was involved with the | 14 | | Downers Grove Community
Church and was an active member at the | 15 | | former First
Presbyterian Church of Downers Grove; he | 16 | | volunteered his
time at community food pantries and with the | 17 | | DuPage County
Sheriff's Volunteer Patrol; and | 18 | | WHEREAS, Duane Bradley's children and grandchildren were | 19 | | always a priority,
whether by serving on the school board, | 20 | | coaching soccer,
or assisting and attending his kids' | 21 | | activities, such as band
camps, concerts, sports, and church |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Duane Bradley enjoyed square dancing and held | 3 | | many offices and
committee positions to benefit the square | 4 | | dance
community; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Duane Bradley was the loving husband of over 55 | 6 | | years
of his wife, June; the beloved father of Robert Bradley,
| 7 | | Katharina (John) Harden, and David (Melissa) Bradley;
the | 8 | | cherished grandfather of Ruth and Nathanial Harden and
| 9 | | Jalaina, Michael, Jaila, Jay, Lillian, and David Jr. Bradley;
| 10 | | the fond brother of the late Douglas Bradley; and uncle to | 11 | | Dustin Bradley, who he raised as his own after the passing of | 12 | | his brother; therefore, be it
| 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | 14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 15 | | Duane Russell Bradley and extend our sincere condolences to | 16 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 17 | | further
| 18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 19 | | presented to the family of Duane Bradley as an expression of | 20 | | our deepest sympathy.
