| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Kenneth Ray Emery of Carlinville, who | 4 | | passed away on December 4, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Emery was born in Carlinville to Orville | 6 | | Jacob and Imogene (Eichen) Emery on August 12, 1950; he | 7 | | graduated from Carlinville Community High School in 1968 and | 8 | | Blackburn College in 1975; he served in the United States Army | 9 | | during the Vietnam War and married Linda Miller in Freeburg on | 10 | | June 23, 1978; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Emery worked at Burke Pharmacy and was a | 12 | | warehouse coordinator for Monterey Coal and Exxon Mobil; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Emery was a member of Ss. Mary & Joseph | 14 | | Catholic Church; he enjoyed gardening, antiquing, and hunting | 15 | | for arrowheads; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Emery was preceded in death by his father, | 17 | | Orville Emery, and his brother, Charles Emery; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Emery is survived by his wife, Linda; his | 19 | | son, Todd (Beth) Emery; his daughters, Gayle (Adam) | 20 | | Staggemeyer, and Dawn (Mark) Peterson; his mother, Imogene |

| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Kenneth Ray Emery, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 8 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 9 | | further
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Kenneth Emery as an expression of | 12 | | our deepest sympathy.
