1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of
3 Illinois learned with regret of the death of Victor Frantz,
4 formerly of Oswego, on Friday, May 16, 2003; and
5 WHEREAS, Victor Frantz was born on June 1, 1930 in Oak
6 Park to Ernest and Ann (Amirant) Frantz, Sr.; and
7 WHEREAS, Mr. Frantz was united in marriage on June 1,
8 1985 in Minooka to Sandra Moore Frantz; and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. Frantz served his country in the United
10 State Army during World War II; and
11 WHEREAS, Mr. Frantz was a criminal investigator for the
12 Illinois Office of the State's Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor
13 and served twice as the Sheriff of Kendall County, first from
14 1966 to 1970 and later from 1978 to 1982; he was an
15 instructor at the Police Training Institute, University of
16 Illinois, and was the Chief Investigator for the Kendall
17 County State's Attorney; he was a Supervisor for Kendall
18 County Probation, a Legislative Assistant of Criminal
19 Justice, the Chief of Police for Plano, and the Chief Deputy
20 of Kendall County from 1961 to 1964; and
21 WHEREAS, The passing of Victor Frantz has been deeply
22 felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife of 17
23 years, Sandra Frantz; his children, Danny (Pam) Frantz, Cindy
24 (Steve) Blasing, Anna (Brian) Wales, Tina (Chris) Graham,
25 Victor M. Frantz, and Vince Frantz; his grandchildren, Ben
26 Loftus, Nicholas Blasing, Jon and Ronda Frantz, Teresa and
27 Adam Wolf, Meghan, Matt, and Brandon Feller, Brennan Wales,
28 and Jessica Graham; his great-grandchildren, Felicia and
29 Hunter Frantz; his brother, Ernest G. (Diane) Frantz, Jr.;
30 his sister, Delores Colsher; and his many nieces and nephews;
31 he was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Ann

1 Frantz, Sr.; therefore, be it
2 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
3 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing
4 of Victor Frantz and extend our deepest sympathy to his
5 family, friends, and community; and be it further
6 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to the family of Victor Frantz as an expression of
8 our sincerest condolences.
