| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Richard G. Hermann of Peoria, who passed | 4 | | away on May 23, 2011; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, He was born March 8, 1942 in Peoria to Joseph and | 6 | | Lydia Schaefer Hermann; he married Marilynn Pelini on January | 7 | | 30, 1965 in Peoria; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, He grew up in Peoria, attending Peoria High School | 9 | | and Bradley University, where he earned both a bachelor's | 10 | | degree in Accounting and an MBA; early in his career, he worked | 11 | | as a stock broker for Hornblower & Weeks; he retired from | 12 | | Caterpillar Inc. in 2004, after 31 years, having last served as | 13 | | Intercompany Pricing Manager, Corporate Tax; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, He previously served on the boards of the Carver | 15 | | Community Center and Bradley University Alumni Lettermen Club; | 16 | | he was an active member of the CEFCU Board of Directors, where | 17 | | he held various positions during the past 24 years, including | 18 | | Chairman; he was a member of the Peoria Apostolic Christian | 19 | | Church and was currently serving on the Apostolic Christian | 20 | | Skylines Foundation Board; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, His parents and one brother, Ron Hermann, preceded |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Richard Hermann is survived by his wife, Marilynn; | 3 | | his daughter, Lori Hermann; his sons, Joe (Erin) Hermann and | 4 | | Doug Hermann; and his grandchildren, Brenna, Cassidy, Quinn, | 5 | | and Lucy; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 8 | | his family and friends, the passing of Richard Hermann; and be | 9 | | it further
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Richard Hermann as a symbol of our | 12 | | sincere sympathy.
