| 2 | | WHEREAS, Paul Lohmann accepted the "offer" of becoming a | 3 | | Beecher Village Trustee and Chairman of the Sewer and Water | 4 | | Committee in 1985 in order to fix Beecher's "water problem"; | 5 | | and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Paul Lohmann served as a Beecher Village Trustee | 7 | | and chair of the Sewer and Water Committee from 1985 to 1997; | 8 | | and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, During this time, Paul Lohmann oversaw such | 10 | | projects as the Well #3 drilling in 1988, Well #4 drilling in | 11 | | 1995, and two wastewater treatment plant rehabilitations in | 12 | | 1989 and 1996; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Many miles of water mains were replaced during | 14 | | Paul Lohmann's tenure, including mains on Orchard, Meadow, | 15 | | Country, Oak Park, Dunbar, Elliott, Miller, Hodges, Dixie and | 16 | | Elm Streets; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Paul Lohmann was elected Beecher Village | 18 | | President in 1997 and served in this position until May 13, | 19 | | 2013; and | 20 | | WHEREAS, During Paul Lohmann's time as Village President, |

| 1 | | the Village of Beecher grew from 2,024 residents to 4,359 | 2 | | residents and the Village's annual budget increased from $1.5 | 3 | | million to $5.5 million; and | 4 | | WHEREAS, During Paul Lohmann's tenure, there have been 4 | 5 | | police chiefs, 5 public works superintendents, 672 Village | 6 | | Board meetings, and 28 budgets and audits; and | 7 | | WHEREAS, Paul Lohmann has decided it is time to retire from | 8 | | elected office; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 10 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 11 | | we recognize Paul Lohmann for his 28 years of service to the | 12 | | Village of Beecher and congratulate him on his retirement; and | 13 | | be it further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to Paul Lohmann as a symbol of our esteem and | 16 | | respect.
