| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of David E. Partney of Granite City, who | 4 | | passed away on July 18, 2011; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, He was born on January 22, 1944 in Granite City to | 6 | | Donald and Dorothy (Yankee) Partney; he was a salesman and an | 7 | | estimator for Accurate Mechanical Contractors Inc. in Maryland | 8 | | Heights, Missouri; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, He served as a 2nd Ward Alderman, a school board | 10 | | member, the school board president, a member of the Granite | 11 | | City Eagles Lodge, president of the Granite City Jaycees, and | 12 | | was an active member of various trade associations throughout | 13 | | his career; he was the owner and operator of the former Granite | 14 | | Sheet Metal Works Inc. for 40 years with his brothers; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; and his | 16 | | brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Pamela Partney; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, David Partney is survived by his wife, Janet | 18 | | (Morris) Partney, whom he married on September 16, 1967 at | 19 | | Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Granite City; his sons, David | 20 | | (Stacy) Partney and Douglas (Lora) Partney; his daughter, | 21 | | Denise Partney; his brother, Donald (Rose) Partney; his |
