| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 |
| learn of the death of
Marjorie A. Bailey of Columbia, who | 4 |
| passed away on July 14, 2009; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Margie Bailey was born on January 14, 1931 in East | 6 |
| St. Louis; her parents were Richard and Regina Powell; and
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Margie Bailey was a member of the Ancient Order of | 8 |
| Hibernians, the Ladies Knights of Columbus, and the Caseyville | 9 |
| Democratic Club; she was also a member of the Holy Trinity | 10 |
| Catholic Church in Fairview Heights; and
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Margie Bailey was preceded in death by her | 12 |
| husband, Donald J. Bailey; her daughter in infancy, Regina | 13 |
| Bailey; her son-in-law, Steve Kohlberg; her parents; her uncle | 14 |
| and aunt, Henry and Grace McStay; her sister, Betty Donovan; | 15 |
| her brother in infancy, Richard Powell; and her brothers-in-law | 16 |
| and sisters-in-law, William "Bud" Bailey, George (Joy) Bailey, | 17 |
| Robert Bailey, Al (Mary "Libby") Laskowski, Catherine "Sissy" | 18 |
| Lawson, Jack and Margaret Drennen, Bill Ring, Sorkis Webbe, | 19 |
| Sr., and Michael Donovan, Sr.; and

| WHEREAS, Margie Bailey is survived by her children, Donna | 21 |
| Kohlberg, Charles "Totsie" (Linda) Bailey, Mary Millas, and |

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | 15 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 16 |
| his family and friends, the passing of Marjorie A. Bailey; and | 17 |
| be it further
| 18 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 19 |
| presented to the family of Margie Bailey as an expression of | 20 |
| our sympathy.
