| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Fern M. Anderson of Streator, who passed | 4 | | away on September 23, 2011; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Fern Anderson was born on August 2, 1916, in rural | 6 | | Pontiac; her parents were Guy and Doretta (Mai) Finkenbinder; | 7 | | she married Arthur S. Anderson on February 17, 1939; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Fern Anderson was a graduate of Cornell High | 9 | | School and Ryburn Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in | 10 | | Ottawa; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Fern Anderson served as director of nursing at the | 12 | | Pleasant View Luther Home in Ottawa; she retired as | 13 | | administrator of Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Streator in | 14 | | 1979; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Fern Anderson was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran | 16 | | Church; she was active in many of the church's activities, as | 17 | | well as Zonta and the Christian Women's Club; and | 18 | | WHEREAS, Fern Anderson was preceded in death by her | 19 | | parents; her husband; her granddaughter; her | 20 | | great-granddaughter; and her brother, Austin Finkenbinder; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Fern Anderson is survived by her children, Dorann | 2 | | (Daniel) Perry, James (Shirley) Anderson, and Keith (Pamela) | 3 | | Anderson; her grandchildren, Dawn (James) Lucas, Tim (Libby) | 4 | | Anderson, Jason Anderson, Kimberly (Chip) Tinder, and Scott | 5 | | (Jessica) Anderson; and her nine great-grandchildren; | 6 | | therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 9 | | her family and friends, the passing of Fern M. Anderson; and be | 10 | | it further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Fern Anderson as an expression of | 13 | | our sympathy.
