| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Frank R. Masters of Carlinville, who | 4 | | passed away on April 17, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Frank Masters was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania | 6 | | on September 12, 1956 to Frank R. and Eleanor Beatrice (nee | 7 | | Quering) Masters; he graduated from Pittsburgh University; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Frank Masters started his career with Exxon Mobil; | 9 | | he helped build the Monterey Coal Mine #1 in Carlinville as a | 10 | | mining engineer; he later worked in the mine as a supervisor; | 11 | | he retired after 35 years from Exxon Mobil as a sales manager; | 12 | | and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Frank Masters' real passion was the NASA space | 14 | | program and he enjoyed teaching others of its value; he enjoyed | 15 | | geology, boating, politics, and was a great story teller; and | 16 | | WHEREAS, Frank Masters married Denise M. (Allen) Riech on | 17 | | August 8, 2008 at their residence in Carlinville; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Frank Masters was preceded in death by his | 19 | | parents; his sister, Jackie A. McQuiston; and his brother, Bud | 20 | | Matiste; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Frank Masters is survived by his wife, Denise; his | 2 | | daughter, Megan Masters; his son, Devon Masters; his | 3 | | step-daughters, Megan and Sarah Riech; his step-sons, Andrew | 4 | | Riech and Nicholas Riech; his step-granddaughter, Grace Pack; | 5 | | his sister, Karen Lee Gish; and his 2 nephews, Scott McQuiston | 6 | | and Lance Matiste; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Frank R. Masters, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further
