| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois | 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Kenneth Robert Dobbins of | 4 |
| Zeigler on Thursday, July 21, 2005; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on September 13, 1946, in Coello to | 6 |
| Bobbie and Flora (D'Hallicourt) Dobbins; he married Linda Faye | 7 |
| Adams on March 15, 1986, in Cleburne; and
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Dobbins had worked for the city of Zeigler in | 9 |
| street maintenance and the Franklin County Wit and Wisdom | 10 |
| Senior Center in West Frankfort; and
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, He valiantly served his country as a member of the | 12 |
| U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, serving from 1964 to 1968; he | 13 |
| received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam | 14 |
| Service Medal with three bronze stars, and the Republic of | 15 |
| Vietnam Campaign Medal; and
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Kenneth Robert Dobbins has been | 17 |
| deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Linda Faye; his son | 18 |
| and daughter-in-law, Keith and Jennifer Dobbins; his daughters | 19 |
| and a son-in-law, Crystal and Chad Mills, Shanna Dobbins, and | 20 |
| Gina Dobbins; his grandchildren, Talon and Trevor Mills, Keegan | 21 |
| and Kaylee Dobbins, and Ashley and B.J. Broadway; his sister, | 22 |
| Marsha Wilson; and his brothers, Ricky and Jimmy Wilson; his | 23 |
| parents and his sister, Barbara Knight, preceded him in death; | 24 |
| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL | 26 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 27 |
| Kenneth Robert Dobbins, and we extend our sincere condolences | 28 |
| to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 29 |
| it further
