| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Gary W. Sierer of East Moline, who | 4 | | passed away on December 20, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Gary Sierer was born in Moline to Riley and | 6 | | Thelma (Wessman) Sierer on October 18, 1947; he served in the | 7 | | U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and married Toni A. Presson in | 8 | | Coal Valley on August 7, 1993; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Gary Sierer owned Blackhawk Tire, Inc. and | 10 | | Midwest Wholesale Tire from 1978 to 2012; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Gary Sierer was a member of Edgewood Baptist | 12 | | Church; he never knew a stranger and was a kind, generous, and | 13 | | giving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and friend to all; he | 14 | | enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children | 15 | | and grandchildren, with whom he created many happy memories; | 16 | | he loved all things Disney, frequently visiting Disney World | 17 | | in Florida, among other travel destinations; he was a pet | 18 | | lover and a dog's best friend; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Gary Sierer was preceded in death by his parents | 20 | | and his sister, Karen Jean Sierer; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Gary Sierer is survived by his wife, Toni; his | 2 | | children, Lisa Sierer, Melissa (Matthew) Brennick, Lance | 3 | | (Jessica) Sierer, Alicia (Shane) Dierikx, and Noah Sierer; his | 4 | | grandchildren, Nicole Bender, Carter and Jacob Brennick, | 5 | | Dylan, Hunter, and Landon Sierer, and Oliver Dierikx; his | 6 | | great-grandchild, Hope, and one on the way; his brother, Jon | 7 | | (Barbara) Sierer; his father-in-law, Jimmie Presson; his | 8 | | mother-in-law, Mary Susan Tomlinson; and many nieces, nephews, | 9 | | and other family; therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Gary W. Sierer and extend our sincere condolences to his | 13 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 14 | | further
