| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of John P. "Jack" Weber of McHenry, who | 4 | | passed away on December 23, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, John Weber was born in Waukegan on September 17, | 6 | | 1933 to Robert L. and Mary (nee Walsh) Weber; he was raised in | 7 | | McHenry and educated at St. Mary's and Landmark schools before | 8 | | graduating from McHenry High School; while attending high | 9 | | school, he worked for a local veterinarian, and after | 10 | | graduating, he initially attended college in southern Illinois | 11 | | with the intention of becoming a vet; on February 6, 1956, he | 12 | | married Lora Jean Hay at the Cook County Courthouse in Chicago, | 13 | | and, on March 19, 1956, at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago; he | 14 | | served in the United States Army from October of 1956 to | 15 | | September of 1958; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, After training to become an electrician with IBEW | 17 | | Local 117, John Weber worked as an electrician for his entire | 18 | | career; he was employed by Lee & Ray Electric and later Carey | 19 | | Electric, both in McHenry; he retired from Carey Electric at | 20 | | the age of 62; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, John Weber was a member of Christ the King | 22 | | Catholic Church in Wonder Lake and was the first photographer |

| 1 | | for the Wonder Lake Fire Department; he was also a member of | 2 | | IBEW Local 117; he enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, the | 3 | | outdoors, bird watching, and his dogs; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, John Weber was preceded in death by a brother, | 5 | | Robert; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, John Weber is survived by his wife of 58 years, | 7 | | Jean; his 6 children, Arthur (Barbara) Weber, Julie (John) | 8 | | Rice, Cheri (Sam) Zito, Mary (Cliff) Otto, Michael (Beth) | 9 | | Weber, and Bobby (Berta) Weber; his 20 grandchildren, Jill, | 10 | | Marsha, Katie, Jackie, John John, Janelle, Jordanne, Peter, | 11 | | Amanda, Stephanie, Ashlea', Tom, Austin, Tanner, Chris, Sarah, | 12 | | Alicia, Katherine, Monica, and Josh; his 11 | 13 | | great-grandchildren, Dominic, Jackson, Mason, Landon, | 14 | | Makenzie, Jameson, Blake, Madilynn, Ambrea, Violet, and | 15 | | Ryland; his sister, Ann (the late Ron) Vacula; and his | 16 | | sister-in-law, Sue Weber; therefore, be it
| 17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 18 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 19 | | John P. "Jack" Weber, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 20 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 21 | | further
