| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Judith "Jude" Boyer of Bloomington, who | 4 | | died on December 23, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Judith Boyer was born in Des Moines, Iowa; she | 6 | | earned a bachelor of science degree from Grinnell College and a | 7 | | master of arts from Illinois State University; she retired in | 8 | | 2000 as vice-president of student affairs at Illinois State | 9 | | University after 32 years of service; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Judith Boyer took on many roles during her time at | 11 | | Illinois State University; she was the first university | 12 | | Affirmative Action officer for women, associate vice-president | 13 | | for student affairs, 1973-1999, and the vice-president for | 14 | | student affairs, 1999-2000; she was the NCAA Accreditation | 15 | | Committee chair, commencement coordinator, longtime Illinois | 16 | | Redbird Athletics booster and student leadership programs | 17 | | supporter, ISU Annuitants Association director, Annuitants | 18 | | Annual Membership Directory coordinator, University Club | 19 | | co-president, coordinator of the Gourmet Dinners Program, Red | 20 | | Tassel Chapter of Mortar Board advisor, and Delta Delta Delta | 21 | | sorority advisor and honorary member; and
| 22 | | WHEREAS, Judith Boyer loved spending time with her friends |

| 1 | | and students at ISU; she loved to travel the world and share | 2 | | her many experiences; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Judith Boyer is survived by her sister, Joyce | 4 | | (Jim) Bellamy and family and Arthur (Ruth "Pete") Boyer and | 5 | | family; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Judith Boyer, and we extend our sincere condolences to her | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Judith Boyer as an expression of our | 13 | | deepest sympathy.
