| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jeanne Marie Warner of Wonder Lake, who | 4 | | passed away on April 12, 2017; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Jeanne Warner was born in Chicago to Edward J. and | 6 | | Mae (Crimmins) Curtis on August 4, 1923; she proudly served in | 7 | | the United States Army Women's Corps for three years as a | 8 | | surgical technician and married the love of her life, Walter W. | 9 | | Warner, at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church in Chicago on | 10 | | January 5, 1946; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Jeanne Warner was a bookkeeper for 25 years and | 12 | | was in medical billing for 11 years; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Jeanne Warner was a member of the American Legion | 14 | | Unit 600 for 21 years and a member of Ladies of the Moose for 10 | 15 | | years; she enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, sewing | 16 | | blankets, and traveling to Iowa, Florida, and especially her | 17 | | favorite, Hawaii; she was a loving mother, grandmother, | 18 | | great-grandmother, sister, and friend; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Jeanne Warner was preceded in death by her | 20 | | parents; her husband, Walter; her sister, Patricia; her two | 21 | | brothers, Thomas and Edward; her son-in-law, James Shefcik; and |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Jeanne Warner is survived by her daughters, Lynn | 3 | | Barrett, Lori Shefcik, Gail Warner, Kathryn Warner (Chicago | 4 | | Police Department, Retired); her grandchildren, Donald (Peggy) | 5 | | Barrett (Chicago Police Department), Walter Barrett, Kevin | 6 | | (Judith) Barrett (Chicago Fire Department), John (Jennifer) | 7 | | Shefcik (Calumet Park Police Department), Traci (Kevin) Burns, | 8 | | and Michelle (Justin) Quick; her great-grandchildren, C.J., | 9 | | Keegan, Jake, Kevin Jr., Kayleigh, Sarah, Ava, Kaitlyn, Naomi, | 10 | | James, Nolan, and Aiden; and her sisters, Karen Dornink and | 11 | | Maureen Denny; therefore, be it
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 14 | | Jeanne Marie Warner, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 15 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 16 | | further | 17 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 18 | | presented to the family of Jeanne Warner as an expression of | 19 | | our deepest sympathy.
