| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Dolores J. Polizzi of Woodstock, who | 4 | | passed away on July 20, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Dolores Polizzi was born in Chicago on September | 6 | | 15, 1926, to Edward and Alma (nee Pavasek) Bergman; she moved | 7 | | with her family to a farm near Harvard and attended King County | 8 | | School and graduated from Harvard High School in 1944; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Dolores Polizzi moved to Woodstock, where she met | 10 | | her husband, Casimer Polizzi; they were part owners of the | 11 | | Polizzi Brothers Food Mart in Woodstock; she briefly worked for | 12 | | Woodstock Autolite and later the McHenry County tuberculosis | 13 | | office until her retirement; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Dolores Polizzi was dedicated to her family and | 15 | | her community; she helped raise a grandson and took care of her | 16 | | mother and husband until their passing; she enjoyed | 17 | | participating in Woodstock Senior Services and volunteered at | 18 | | the local nursing homes and at St. Mary's Church in Woodstock; | 19 | | and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Dolores Polizzi was preceded in death by her | 21 | | husband of 62 years, Casimer; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Dolores Polizzi is survived by her children, Nancy | 2 | | (David) Corcoran, Dick (Rhonda) Polizzi, Sandy (Randy) Eslick, | 3 | | and Jim Polizzi; her grandchildren, Tony (Jen) Polizzi, Kristin | 4 | | (Dan) Tussing, Megan (Chris) Jessen, Rhiannon (Patrick) | 5 | | Louise, Jeremy Polizzi, Ryan Polizzi, Kali Eslick, Laura | 6 | | Polizzi, and AJ Polizzi; her great-grandchildren, Peter John | 7 | | Louise and Landon Casimer John Polizzi; her brother-in-law, | 8 | | John Polizzi; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Dolores J. Polizzi, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 13 | | further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Dolores Polizzi as an expression of | 16 | | our deepest sympathy.
