| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
Geneva B. | 4 | | Holbrook of Belleville, who passed away on June 13, 2011; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Geneva Holbrook was born on August 22, 1922, in | 6 | | Pittsburg, Kansas; she married Jesse Holbrook on May 10, 1948; | 7 | | and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Geneva Holbrook was employed as a bookkeeper at | 9 | | Model Laundry for 22 years until her retirement in 1971; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Geneva Holbrook was preceded in death by her | 11 | | husband; her parents, Robert H. Aldredge; her mother, Besse M., | 12 | | nee Martin, Crowley; her stepfather, William Crowley; her | 13 | | stepbrothers, Erwin Crowley and Henry Crowley; and her sister, | 14 | | Roberta Sharp; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Geneva Holbrook is survived by her son, Illinois | 16 | | State Representative Thomas A. (Molly McKenzie) Holbrook; her | 17 | | daughter, Marilyn L. Brothers; her stepbrother, Billy Crowley; | 18 | | her grandchildren, Susan (Steven Kozlowski) Holbrook, Michael | 19 | | (Nicole) Lee, and Douglas Brothers; and her | 20 | | great-grandchildren, Shaily and Jesse Lee; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Geneva Holbrook will be remembered by all who knew | 2 | | and loved her as a funny and caring person whose love of life | 3 | | and ability to live it to the fullest endeared her to her | 4 | | family members, friends, and all who knew her, and enabled her | 5 | | to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; | 6 | | therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 8 | | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 9 | | we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of | 10 | | Geneva B. Holbrook; and be it further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Geneva Holbrook as an expression of | 13 | | our sympathy.
