| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of William E. Rose of Coal Valley, who | 4 | | passed away on August 16, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, William Rose was born to William C. "Jasper" and | 6 | | Hattie (Rasmussen) Rose in Davenport, Iowa on August 14, 1933; | 7 | | he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War;
he married | 8 | | Kathy Organ and later married Mary Ann DeClerck in Rock Island | 9 | | on August 10, 1973; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, William Rose worked at the former Eagle Foods in | 11 | | Milan and was also owner and operator of William Rose | 12 | | Associates; he later worked at Certified Groceries, City of | 13 | | Commerce, Los Angeles; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, William Rose was a member of the Viking Club in | 15 | | Moline; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, William Rose was an avid gardener and Iowa | 17 | | Hawkeye and Chicago Cubs fan; most of all, he was a wonderful | 18 | | husband, a great dad, and an amazing grandpa and papa; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, William Rose was preceded in death by his son, | 20 | | Billy, and his father-in-law, Frank DeClerck; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, William Rose is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; | 2 | | his daughters, Amy Garcia and Lisa (Rick) Winslow; his sons, | 3 | | Pat (Jen) Rose, Pete (Kathy) Rose, and Ted (Kendie) Rose; his | 4 | | grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Keegan), Emily, Khloe, Ella, T.J., | 5 | | Maddie, Brenna, Riley, and Darby; his sister, Beverly Lindy; | 6 | | and his mother-in-law, Pat DeClerck; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | William E. Rose and extend our sincere condolences to his | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further
